POSEIDON

Poseidon was the older brother of Zeus. Together, with Hades, they had successfully overthrown their father, King Cronus, from power. After the victory, Poseidon's dislike for Zeus became great, as he was only given the rule of the Seas and Rivers. Yet, he would not become hostile towards Zeus, for he feared his mighty Thunderbolt. Poseidon's weapon was his spear-like Trident, which he could use to stir up the Seas, create massive waves, and destroy ships. And so, Zeus would never travel by ship.

Poseidon sat on the second-largest throne in Olympus. It was made of green marble, with streaks of white running through it. Coral, gold and mother-of-pearl decorated the throne, and the shape of Sea Beasts formed the arms, while the seat was covered with sealskin. Poseidon's symbol was the Horse, an animal which he pretended to have created.
